No Beltran again. Game 2, perhaps?

Rotblatt
Sep 06 2006 01:12 PM

Aybar singles to left. Is this the game that Williams finally turns into a pumpkin?

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:18 PM

Braves get two on but fail to score in the first.

Rotblatt
Sep 06 2006 01:18 PM

With two outs and Aybar on first, Williams hits Andrew with a U, then gets Diaz to line out to left.

OlerudOwned
Sep 06 2006 01:18 PM

Williams gets Jones/A, side retired.

Mets turn coming up, hopefully it's prettier than Monday.

MFS62
Sep 06 2006 01:18 PM

Its still 11:59 for Williams.

Does Smoltz have real stirrups on or striped socks? I can't tell because his pants are so low.

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:24 PM

While Keith is praising Lo Duca, Smoltz throws a WP to advance Reyes to second.

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:24 PM

Speaking of Lo Duca, who starts game 2? DiFelice or Stinnett? I'm hoping it's Kelly.

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:26 PM

Lo Duca hit a little squib in front of the plate (a virtual bunt) but Jose doesn't advance to third.

Could be costly with Delgado coming up with one out.

OlerudOwned
Sep 06 2006 01:27 PM

Bah, someone get Reyes a coffee.

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:30 PM

Delgado grounds to second, and now Reyes is on third, but with two out.

Wright batting.

And he grounds to third. No score after one.

Sep 06 2006 01:33 PM

Ouch. McCann abused the first pitch he saw from Williams.

ScarletKnight41

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 01:41 PM

Wow, with Smoltz pitching in Game 1, and Oliver Perez in Game 2, this isn't a promising afternoon for the Mets.

I think I'll be very happy with a split.

Yea! Porn Stash knocks in Mr. Green from first as Misspelled Andrew misplays the ball in center! 1-1.

Zvon
Sep 06 2006 01:44 PM

Williams has 3 strikeouts thu 2.
He better lean on that curve ball cuz he aint gettin the fastball by em.

A Green single and a Valentin double evens up the score.

I love it when Andreugh Jones bobbles a ball.

Smoltz has 2 wild pitches today.
He had 2 wild pitches all season coming into this game.

OlerudOwned
Sep 06 2006 01:47 PM

Two out with Valentin on 3rd.

Williams will try to take the lead into his own hands.

Forgive my ignorance, but...

What's so pornographic about Valentin's mustache?

What kind of mustache wouldn't be considered a porn-stache?

Maybe I need to start watching porn so I'd understand this stuff. I haven't seen a porno movie since I was in high school!

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 06 2006 02:54 PM

Gary was thinking that Willie wouldn't pinch-hit for Dave Williams with two out and three on and a 3-1 lead, but Ledee is going to hit.

Williams only threw 70-something pitches over 6 innings.

Willie trusts his bullpen, and he has good reason to.

The quickly-turned-around Mota will get a chance to set up Wagner here.

Edgy DC
Sep 06 2006 03:12 PM

The thing about Pedro, Paulie, is that you look at that tiny ERA and think, "Yeah, but he joined the team late and they've picked his spots."

But he's thrown 53.1 innings. That's 84% of the workload Billy Wagner has gotten. Though he doesn't get the high-leverage spots that Wagner has, that's awesome.

Zvon
Sep 06 2006 03:13 PM

Willie opts to go with a pitcher with more facial hair in the 8th, and Mota gets the call.

seawolf17
Sep 06 2006 03:13 PM

And Mota is still shown in an Indians cap. Does no one in major league baseball own a digital camera?

OlerudOwned
Sep 06 2006 03:14 PM

If it's really true that Mota's entire problem was standing on the wrong side of the rubber, the Cleveland pitching coach must be pretty embarassed.
