This is weird: the TV is several seconds ahead of the radio call - like maybe 7 or 8 seconds.
It used to be the other way around.

JD Drew has looked at a ton of 3rd strikes in this series.
You def get the feeling that there's something missing in that boy.

Slow, slow IGT day.

Grady Little gets a case of the stupids. With 2 outs and runners on second and third, he pulls the lefty Hamulak for Brett Tomko to pitch to Wright instead of walking David and letting Ham face Green.

Wright made him pay with a 2-run single.

3-2 Metropolitans in the 7th.

Weak grounder by Milledge, but he was busting it out of the box. And he beat it out when Kent bobbled it twice.

.....And then he gets picked off. Just as I was complimenting him.

Heilman in to face the top of the order.

I want a Met win today.

I WANT ONE.

Wagner in to try for the save with a 1 run lead.

The game ends with a strike 'em out/throw 'em out double play!

Struck him out!

Threw him out!

Double play, Mets win!

I'm liking Stinnett a lot more than DiFelice.

That's a sweet ending to a game!

Thankfully for us. Hey, they knew what they were getting when they signed him.

Three turning points in that game ... and they all occured in the same AB!!

1) the decision to NOT walk Wright and have Green face the lefty

2) The 2-2 pitch to Wright that was NOT called a strike

3) The hit itself on the following pitch

Grady Little sounds like a cat's name

No kidding. Once people get away from the idea that he needs to be as good as Rivera, they can realize that he's still one of the top 5 in baseball at what he does.

That was the 19th time the Mets have defeated Greg Maddux.

The only pitchers with more losses against the Mets are Steve Carlton (36), Rick Reuschel (25), and Jerry Reuss (21).
