And we're off.

Reyes grounds out.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:11 PM

That was way too quick.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:16 PM

Uggly dumps a double into left. Get your acts in gear, Metsies!!!

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:17 PM

Oh geez. We really don't need this shit.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:25 PM

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?!?

He was hitting .228 and you let him hit a home run?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

seawolf17
Sep 11 2006 07:25 PM

Dammit.

Johnny Dickshot
Sep 11 2006 07:27 PM

Pretty sure the rules stipulate that when you give up a 3r HR to a guy named "Cody" you aren't eligible for the postseason roster.

That's a shame cuz I was pretty sweet on Dave Williams.

Cliffy-baby cuts the deficit in half and ends Sanchez's no-hitter.

="KC"]

I'm going to miss that graphic when he's gone.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:33 PM

YES!!!!!!!!

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 07:34 PM

Not quite yet Val, but it's a good start.

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 07:39 PM

NYPD & FDNY tribute hats. <sniff>

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 07:43 PM

It's gettin' Uggly. And Cabrrerary too.

Marlins regain their 4-run lead.

Sep 11 2006 07:44 PM

Tommy Hutton on the FSN Florida broadcast is intolerable. I'm not from New York, but his anti-New York sentiment annoys me.

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 07:45 PM

Ditto.

It's very bush league to whine about being overlooked. I believe the Marlins have gotten plenty of recognition in their recent run.

SteveJRogers
Sep 11 2006 07:46 PM

And he was Tom Seaver's Nemesis

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:53 PM

If we were fighting for a playoff spot instead of coasting, Willie would have pinch-hit for Williams there.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:57 PM

What is with these errors?

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 07:59 PM

How did I KNOW that would fucking happen?!?!?!?!?

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 07:59 PM

What's with letting the pitcher hit an RBI single?

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:00 PM

Right now I'm root, root, rooting for the rain.

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:02 PM

When the batter stands in a certain position, one of the ads behind home plate reads Pubix. Ew.

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:03 PM

I'm not cheering this one. The Mets need to get more hits in the ballpark and fewer errors. OK, I'll cheer, but reluctantly. Lets light this rook up!

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:04 PM

Ka-BOOM!!!!

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:05 PM

HR #40 for Beltran.

KC
Sep 11 2006 08:09 PM

The Mets are STILL not winning, how the FUCK did I know we wouldn't
be winning?!?!!?!?!?!?!?

Good lord, later .....

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:10 PM

Hey, not cool.

Sep 11 2006 08:11 PM

This is getting Ugla....

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:11 PM

Un-BE-FUCKING-lievable!!!!

Uggla crushes one off the facing of the upper deck.

Rockin' Doc
Sep 11 2006 08:13 PM

I've read enough. I think I'll find something more constructive to do with my time and hope for a comeback, but I won't hold my breath.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:14 PM

Enough already Willie, the kid's getting clobbered!!!

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:16 PM

Here comes Bert to stop the hurt!

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:17 PM

An odd spot for Berto, no?

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 11 2006 08:18 PM

I just turned off the TV.

Nice to see Beltran's 40th. Hopefully his 41st will be a grand slam later this evening.

Just this afternoon I was saying that I'd rather see Williams start in the NLDS over Trachsel.

Now I'm not so sure!

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:18 PM

Good as time as any to experiment.

Willets Point
Sep 11 2006 08:22 PM

And now we know not to bring in Bert in this situation in the postseason.

Valadius
Sep 11 2006 08:31 PM

Ledee bats for Berto.

Had Berto actually taken the at-bat, it would have the third at-bat of his entire career, and first in 9 years.

Yancy Street Gang
Sep 11 2006 08:38 PM

Give Humber a chance.

Sep 11 2006 08:38 PM

Jason Wood - 36 years old, essentially a career minor leaguer except for short stints with Detroit and Oakland in '98-'99.

MK just came into the room and looked over the box score. He pronounced this game "disgraceful."

The kid's got a point.

As a parent of a toddler, I would much prefer if you would all describe the Mets' performance in this game using the correct term.

The Mets are playing like "poopie".
