Things I don't Know

...about the CPF.

1. What's the story behind Scarlet and her use of peanut butter on chipmunks?

2. What is the proper etiquette in the Book Club Forum? Specifically, when are you supposed to start a new thread as opposed to replying in the "What are you reading right now" thread.

Cooby was reminiscing about the time she had a chipmunk in her house, and I asked whether she used peanut butter to get rid of the thing, phrasing my question awkwardly. Seawolf found that funny enough to use as his signature line for the past several weeks.

I don't think there really is an ettiquette. I think "What are you reading now..." is literally for folks who just want to post an image of what book they're currently reading. If you're more ambitious and want to write a review or start a discussion about a particular book, I think it is threadworthy. Of course, "If I Were In Charge" I would move all those threads into the Non-Baseball Forum where someone might actually read them.

I think it makes the most sense to start a new book post if it's a book that you think it's likely that others have read.

Of course, even when many of us read Frank Thomas' book, nobody had anything to say about it.

I tend to agree with Willets on this one. There's not enough activity in the Book Forum for it to warrant its own area. I think it ought to be folded back into Non-Baseball.

Music is probably more deserving of a forum than Books is.

Thanks for reminding me to remove that sig. I forgot it was there.

I don't think she puts out. She's kind of uptight that way.
