WTF? I turned on the Philly Fox affiliate, expecting to check in on the Philly/Houston game. What are they showing? The MFY's! Even though the Philly/Houston game was listed in the listings, the Philadelphia fans can't watch their team play this afternoon. It's madness!

Did they show the Yankee pregame and then switch to Astros-Phillies?

I have the game on and I'm having a hard time remembering that I want the Phillies to win.

The game looked to have started when I checked in. I get both the NY and Philly stations where I live. Even though I'm not tied to the tube this afternoon, I enjoy it when I can get different games on the different affiliates.

Still zip-nada between Philly and the 'Stros.

Scoreless after six.

Apparently David Dellucci wants to win - his solo homer makes it 1-0 Phillies in the 7th.

Philly 3, Houston 0.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 16 2006 03:36 PM |
Now it's 3-0 Phillies, and the top of the 7th is still going on.

Philly tacks on another run.

You folks are neglecting to mention that Cole Hamels has a no-hitter going thru 6
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 16 2006 03:50 PM |
Honestly, I didn't notice. I was just looking at the runs column.

So much for the no-no. It ends on an Adam Everett RBI dobule that drove in Jason Lane, who had walked.

Philly tacks on two more in the 8th to make it 6-1. Cole Hamels is batting for himself in the inning.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 16 2006 04:13 PM |
Make that 7-1 Philly, in the bottom of the 8th.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 16 2006 04:25 PM |
The Phillies are taking a 7-2 lead to the 9th inning.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 16 2006 04:38 PM |
7-2 Philly is your final.

This avoids the possible suckitude situation of Mets clinching via a Philly loss and then going out and losing tonight.
|
Valadius Sep 16 2006 05:14 PM |
Let's go out and do this thing tonight!

What time will you be watching the game tomorrow morning, Yancy?
|
Yancy Street Gang Sep 16 2006 06:28 PM |
I'll probably get started between 6:30 and 7 a.m.

Not the kind with the frosting, I hope. I'm an unfrosted strawberry or blueberry Pop Tarts fan myself.

Playing center field for the Milwaukee Brewers tonight, Tony Gwynn, Jr.

Any fellow insomniacs out there? Colorado & Arizona are tied at 6 in the bottom of the 15th inning.

The Snakes win on a walk-off sac fly in the 16th. One of these days there's going to be an historic 35+ inning game and I'm going to see it. For now I have to find other ways to pass the time until I feel sleepy.
