Stearns probably had a mean western coffee table. I picture him with the laquered cross section of an oak tree.

LOL! That's why I put "coffee table" in quotes. C'mon, you know what I meant - the kind of large book (usually photograph laden) that someone leaves out on their coffee table for show. Later

Well it should at least have legs on it. So if you don't have a coffee table it could be a coffee table.

Exactly. There have been enough books with photos like this one: I'd rather see more offbeat pictures, like this one: and this one: Photos of the Polo Grounds from 1962 and 1963 and of Shea Stadium through its history would also be great.
