Anyone else order LCS tickets?
willpie Sep 14 2006 02:51 PM |
The wife got me one of them ticket 6-packs for my birthday, and it turns out that that made us eligible for up to 4 tickets to 1 home playoff game (DS or LCS only). I figured LCS sounded like my kind of party, so we're going to be sitting in the nosebleed seats by the 3rd base foul pole if there's a first home game of the LCS at Shea.

Friend of mine offered me his and I took him up on them (extra ducats is always a good thing).

I entered the lottery on Mets.com. Even if I win I don't know if I'll buy the tickets. I guess it depends on the day of the week that the game is played.

Buy them Yancy. If you don't want them, someone here will (like, um, me!).
|
soupcan Sep 14 2006 02:57 PM |
Yup, that was my thinking.

Mr. Zero Sep 14 2006 02:58 PM |
Entered the lottery as well. Fingers crossed.

I too had a six pack and got to pick one game. I took the first round because they were 30 bucks cheaper 45/75 and I'm in Row P way way up high....Vertigo seats...I guess I'm cheap. Gonna be a late start too...

I haven't heard anything and I haven't seen any updates to their website indicating that people should check their emails or whatever. I wonder how many people registered for tickets and if they'll announce that number . . .
|
Mr. Zero Sep 15 2006 03:56 PM |
BTW, did those of you who registered recieve a confirmation email? I did not. Just checking.
|
Yancy Street Gang Sep 15 2006 03:58 PM |
Me neither.
|
Rotblatt Sep 15 2006 04:05 PM |
Nope. Which made me worried and I registered again, but never received confirmation.
|
Yancy Street Gang Sep 15 2006 04:23 PM |
Uh oh. You let them know that you're desperate. Now they'll take advantage of you!

metirish Sep 17 2006 09:43 PM |
I might just go and buy from the touts.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 17 2006 09:59 PM |
What are the touts?
|
metirish Sep 17 2006 10:00 PM |
Ticket touts, over here you call them scalpers.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 17 2006 10:23 PM |
Ah - gotcha.
|
cleonjones11 Sep 17 2006 10:36 PM |
I got the Sports Illustrated Box Field level 82 seats 1 and 2 by third base. Rick Reilly has seats 3 and 4 ...Everyone else in the office wanted Yankees and I hadn't asked in a while.

Not bad. What row? Are they "back row" seats? (When I was at Shea last week we moved down to Loge Reserved in the 8th inning. I think we were in row F or G and the overhang wasn't a problem. I think the view would probably be okay through row I or J.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 18 2006 09:51 AM |
They're not back row, as far as I know.
|
Yancy Street Gang Sep 18 2006 09:52 AM |
I'm guessing row N or O.
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 18 2006 09:57 AM |
J
|
Yancy Street Gang Sep 18 2006 10:20 AM |
Row J should be okay I think. You probably won't see all of the sky and you may lose track of fly balls and pop ups. But you should be able to see most of the scoreboard.

cooby Sep 18 2006 12:55 PM |
Scarlet! You will be there on the day "The Sweet Assed One" pitches!
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 18 2006 01:20 PM |
LOL - yes, although I don't think of him quite in that way. I think of him as that poor, shy boy who has so much trouble coming out of his shell ;)

Is that Pedro? I definitely need a primer on nicknames. The only ones I relate to on the current team are Sandman and Captain Red Ass/Sleazy.
|
Willets Point Sep 18 2006 01:26 PM |
I know Capt. Redass. I now know Thick-Legged One. Who is Sweetass? And why are all the Mets being defined by their dorsal/lower extremity regions?
|
ScarletKnight41 Sep 18 2006 01:28 PM |
cooby likes Pedro's posterior.
|
Lundy Sep 21 2006 04:24 PM |
I opened my email this morning to find I was selected in the "second chance drawing." I picked up four tickets, in section 24 of the mezzanine, for Game 1.
|
metirish Sep 21 2006 04:25 PM |
Have fun Lundy....
|
metirish Sep 21 2006 04:27 PM |
From now on I'll be calling Julio Franco "the fossil"...just so you all know who I'm talking about...
|
Gwreck Sep 21 2006 05:25 PM |
I see a few people picked up four seats for NLDS, Game 1.
