Name that band!

What band? This band. In my sim league my pitcher had a band with some of the other players on the Nightmares. It was called Hypnophobia and he was guitar and vocals. So Hypnophobia broke up and my guy wants to form another band. This time with regular guys, not other ballplayers.

So I need a name for the band and some names of other bandmembers. My guy is a starting pitcher named Ryan Rose. (He's good, too--went 4-0 in the post-season). The Nightmares are based in Atlantic City.

This is just the sort of thing that I think y'all can help me with.

What do they play?

Rock and some metal. Mostly covers but Rose writes stuff sometimes, too (though not so much recently--I guess when you're in The Show you don't have as much time as you did in AAA).

My husband suggested Purpose Pitch. I dunno if I'm happy with it.

High Cheese.

Wait a second are we not talking about real people here?

This is an overly realistic sim league, no? And I was worked up when computer David Wright hardballed me on a contract extension.

I am confused too. Which is just one of the reasons why I feel dense today

Its not baseball related, but since there is a Jedi Mind Trick out there, a great SW reference for a band would be These Are Not The Droids You're Looking For

The shirt I'm wearing right now says "You don't need to look at my chest. These aren't the breasts you're looking for. Move along."

Back on-topic. I like Brushbakk.

Oh, for the people who are confused. It's a simulation baseball league. It's baseball role-playing. You get two players, a pitcher and a position player. They have ability ratings. They play on teams with other sim players against teams of other sim players in a great big league of sim players. You can earn points to upgrade your players ratings by doing various things. One of those things is writing articles. And the reason Ryan Rose is forming a band is so that I can write articles about it.

In a different league that I'm in, I have a female pitcher named Shannon Young. For articles for her, I had her write a blog. If you're sufficiently bored, you can check out the blog on her website at http://www.brokersys.com/epl/young. The other articles I've written for players are posted in the fora for the various leagues (so are Shannon's blog entries--I made a webpage out of them because a) player websites are worth points b) a blogger wouldn't have a website without a link to her blog and c) I had a bunch of free time). The woman in the pic on Shannon's page is Ila Borders, who pitched in the Northern League in the late 1990s.
