Castro! I remember him!

To make room for Castro on the 40 man roster, Kelly Stinnett has been designated for assignment.

Designated for retirement

I don't know if a start by a pitcher has ever been disected as much as Pedro's start tonight,he has better life on his fastball tonight, come on Pedro.

Castro with a double, great to have him back.

I honestly don't think we're going to win again this year.

ScarletKnight41
Sep 27 2006 08:26 PM

This team isn't really going to the postseason, is it? They're playing like shit!

Sep 27 2006 08:29 PM

We're fucked...Pedro is getting hit very hard.....

ScarletKnight41
Sep 27 2006 08:30 PM

Yes. He is :(

Sep 27 2006 08:31 PM

Holy shit...back to back home runs....we're fucked.

We gotta start El Duque in game one.

Sep 27 2006 08:36 PM

How many games did we win without Pedro pitching this year? Tons. I'm not worried. El Duque, Glavine, Trachsel and Maine. They'll do just fine.

Hudson with a triple.....7 - 0....this is it for Pedro tonight....Mets fans the world over wonder when we will next see him.

KC
Sep 27 2006 08:38 PM

Well, that wasn't fun.

My heart just broke a little.

Ronnie's making me feel a bit better, though. He's right--there is no crisis. Pedro looks healthy, he just needs work, which means we start him in Game 3 instead of Game 1 so he gets a couple side sessions.

El Duque & Glavine are good enough to get us through the first round, regardless of opponent.

Provided, of course, we start to hit. I'm not holding my breath.

Honestly, I don't think we'll need the "A" or "B" Pedro until the WS, if we're lucky enough to make it that far.

Its like the Mets and Braves reversed current positions in the NL East!

Where does Pedro get this work?,side sessions and the like,I am not convinced.

I liked Ronnie's take also Rottie, it makes sense. I like Kool-Aid too.

I fucking love Kool-Aid.

]Where does Pedro get this work?,side sessions and the like,I am not convinced.

shhhhh! Have some Kool-Aid, Irish.

Rotoworld speculates his calf injury is preventing him from keeping the ball down. Will side sessions help that or make it worse?

I prefer Keith's take that his gut feeling is that Pedro is hurting and can't push off with his leg,Ron agreed with him which makes me wonder why he said he was healthy.

KC

I blame Castro for calling a bad game.

I think Pedro needs more than side sessions.

Maybe he'll be ready for Game 3. But they can win without him.

And they may have to.

Blech

Came by to say "blech". Also to point out that the Mets continue to play like "poopie"! Also, to say that besides needing Pedro to get healthy so he can pitch, they have to have players in blue and orange uniforms cross home plate more often.

Mets making errors tonight..everything is wrong right now.

I like beer!! If the Mets keep playing like they have the past few weeks, I'm going to need lots of it in October.

KC

Think of how much beer we'd need if we were St. Louis fans this past week
everyone! Next week's a new season ...

Not if we're going to continue to score runs at the rate of about 3 per week

Getting beat is bad enough but we are getting embarrassed here...

ScarletKnight41
Sep 27 2006 09:30 PM

Sep 27 2006 09:32 PM

Ron won't say it but he's saying this shit should not be happening,Keith said it for him, someone needs to get hit.

Well I think we've about learned where Oliver's innings limit is.

And, btw, why is he still out there when there's a 35 man bullpen?

Humber is the only bright spot tonight....

Yancy Street Gang

Here's a wacky idea: Let Pedro pitch three innings in relief on Sunday in Washington. If that goes well, then maybe he gets a Game 3 start next week on Saturday with five days rest.

Hernandez in Game 1, Glavine in Game 2.

I like it Yancy...beats throwing side sessions,I love Pedro but he needs to prove that he can help the team.

Sep 27 2006 11:07 PM

Pedro on the post-game interview does not sound inspiring...he all but said that it's an easy decision for Willie to make about who should start game one....Pedro said that he is not healthy...not even close...
