For those who want to plan their vacations ahead of time, a work in progress:
Yancy Street Gang Sep 27 2006 02:58 PM |
They're playing teams from all three American League divisions.
sharpie Sep 27 2006 03:15 PM |
Yeah, the AL thing is weird. I don't trust that the Oakland series is right.
ScarletKnight41 Sep 27 2006 03:20 PM |
Cool - Thanks SI!

HahnSolo Sep 27 2006 03:25 PM |
Is June 11-13 the LA Dodgers or LA Angels?
SI Metman Sep 27 2006 03:30 PM |
Dodgers. Two series in LA this season instead of an extra interleague series.
SI Metman Sep 29 2006 09:01 PM |
Just missing 3 home series from the sched against Colorado, Houston and San Diego. Otherwise it's complete.
Willets Point Oct 20 2006 01:09 AM |
Next year.
Valadius Oct 20 2006 01:16 AM |
Just look at who we open against.
Zvon Oct 20 2006 01:17 AM |
and the 2007 schedule is already here on board? Damn--this place rocks!
Willets Point Oct 20 2006 01:26 AM |
Oy! Does this mean we have to witness their ring ceremony?
Valadius Oct 20 2006 01:31 AM |
It does. We open in St. Louis at their home opener.
sharpie Oct 20 2006 09:02 AM |
Only 175 days til Opening Day.
Farmer Ted Oct 20 2006 09:56 AM |
The meeting with Detroit would have made for a great re-match following a triumphant Mets WS. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

The Mets have a weekend series in Philly for the first time in years. Is anyone up for a group outing to the CB either Saturday, June 30 or Sunday, July 1? Group tickets go on sale in January - I'd be happy to buy a block of tickets to one of those games. I'm inclined to go with $22 Scoreboard Porch tickets, which are right by Harry the K's bar, near Ashburn Alley, convenient to most of the ballpark parking, and with a reasonably good view of the field.

One extraordinarily tentative vote for Sunday.
Nymr83 Nov 05 2006 05:32 PM |
i could also, very tentatively, make either game and i'd be bringing a few people (2-3) in addition to myself. woohoo road trip!
Elster88 Nov 05 2006 06:08 PM |
Detroit, Minny, and Oaktown? That can't be right. Can it?
OlerudOwned Nov 05 2006 06:12 PM |
Maybe they reworked the interleague schedules so that playoff teams face playoff teams and other teams play...I dunno.

I'm down with that. Saturday would be easier for me, but I could probably make a Sunday afternoon game too.
sharpie Nov 08 2006 04:06 PM |
Hard for me to plan that far ahead but it might work for me. Possibly Lenny, too.

Cardinals and MLB announce that they will open the season at home with the Mets on Sunday night on ESPN. Then Monday will be a day off, with games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Yancy Street Gang Nov 13 2006 02:49 PM |
I like that. I always enjoy watching the first game of the season, and next year I'll be able to do it without having to take a day off from work.
Frayed Knot Nov 13 2006 03:42 PM |
Having the defending champ be the one to open the season on the Sunday night game seems to be an emerging "tradition" with MLB.
Yancy Street Gang Nov 13 2006 03:51 PM |
The fact that it's an NLCS rematch probably adds some appeal as well.
smg58 Nov 13 2006 05:46 PM |
My calendar has been marked.
ScarletKnight41 Nov 17 2006 09:59 PM |
Perhaps we're better off with the Saturday game in Philly. If the Sunday game were to become an ESPN game, that would be rough for a lot of people.
Willets Point Dec 19 2006 05:50 PM |
2007 schedule actually available at Mets.com.
SteveJRogers Dec 23 2006 03:17 PM |
I'm considering heading out to Chi-Town to see the Cubbies that first weekend of August.
KC Dec 24 2006 09:12 AM |
SR: >>>strange that our only trip to Chicago in the past few years is right in the middle of Chicago.<<<
ScarletKnight41 Dec 24 2006 10:24 AM |
He meant to say that it's in the middle of August.
Yancy Street Gang Dec 24 2006 11:34 AM |
The Mets go to Dodger Stadium in June and then again in July?
Gwreck Dec 26 2006 04:21 PM |
Yes, that's the tradeoff for having one fewer interleague series.

Gwreck Dec 26 2006 04:25 PM |

Not sure what you mean about "last few years" -- the Mets were in Chicago in May in '05. I recall because U2, Springsteen, and the Mets were all playing in Chicago the same week (it was very busy). I see they've got the Milwaukee and Chicago series back to back again. If you can swing both, Miller is a very nice (and cheaper) place to take in a game.
ScarletKnight41 Dec 26 2006 04:29 PM |
I'll concur with that. We were very impressed with the Milwaukee fans when we were there in 2002.
Willets Point Feb 01 2007 01:21 PM |
Anyone know what day Mets single game tickets go on sale?
Gwreck Feb 01 2007 03:07 PM |
Hasn't been announced yet. IIRC the Mets had a press release last week where they said they would announce it "soon."
SI Metman Feb 06 2007 07:54 AM |
March 11th is the date.
