Getting Their Attention

Listening to the car radio this morning, and suddenly another station signal jumps in over the one I was listening to, so I get this:

The Dalai Lama paid an unexpected visit to Woodstock yesterday, where he said

Lets do something that'll get their attention - we'll bomb 'em!

You mean, like your station's signal was highjacked?

And who was he talking about?

Mole, that reminds me of a story I heard about a then-famous newscaster. He was known for never reading over his script before the show. One day his staff decided to teach him a lesson. At the bottom of one page, it said, "Yesterday, in a major political speech, Chinese Chairman Mao Tse Tung said"..
When he turned to the next page, it was written in Chinese.

Back to topic:
I have a similar problem with the signal for ESPN (1050 New York)radio at night. Intermittently (usually when they are giving the scores) it gets overpowered from a radio station in Canada that plays Oldies. At least the music is good. Does anyone else have the same problem with the ESPN Radio signal?

all the time. its amazing how far that signal can travel. i got those oldies at my old apartment in parsippany, nj, at night, and just as i started getting to work.

the problem isn't as bad not in sparta, which is odd, cos i'm twice as far from new york, and on the wrong side of the mountain, and incrementally closer to canada, presumably on the right side of the mountain.

There are hot spots all over the city of Kingston where my XM signal (though this one was not XM) gets overridden by something. I think it's Sirius.

John McEnroe ought to be a spokesman for XM.

"YOU CANNOT BE SIRIUS!'
