Met-Dodger Season Series (Mets 4, Dodgers 3)

At AL: June 5-7:
6/5 Mets 4, Dodgers 1 IGT
Alay Soler’s season highlight game. Reyes and Beltran hit HRs in the first off Brett Tomko (since banished to the bullpen).

6/6: Dodgers 8, Mets 5 IGT
Lowe over Pedro, who’s going great till a 6-run 5th. Mets made a game of it with 3 in the seventh off Broxton but Saito then Gagne (in a short-lived return) shut us down. This was the only loss in the 9-1 road trip (LA, AZ, PHL) that pretty much won us the East.

6/7: Mets 9, Dodgers 7 IGT
We beat the piss out of the since-traded Odalis Perez, and Glavine nearly gives it all back. Milledge hit a HR and threw a guy out on the bases in this game.

At Shea:
9/7: Mets 7, Dodgers 0 IGT
Glavine went 6.1 scoreless and Reyes hit an inside-the-parker. This game was closer than the score indicated since we owed a good part of the offense to Matt Kemp, the clown playing center field that night. Kemp’s a bench player most nights and the Dodgers lik it that way.

9/8: Dodgers 5, Mets 0 IGT
Kuo kept the Mets looking bad on hacks and Maine gave up a couple of HRs in the 5th inning. I was at this game and they looked terrible

9/9: Mets 3, Dodgers 2 IGT
El Dookie outclassed Maddux. D Wright had the big hit, a 2-run single off Tomko. Delgado kaboomed off Maddux.

9/10: Dodgers 9, Mets 1 IGT
One of those games where Trax was especially foul (2.2 IP, 4 ER) and a rookie sclub nobody, Eric Stults, shut us out. Still his only win of the year, and back in the ‘pen.

I could be wrong, but I see Pedro's 2006 shark jump entirely contained in that fifth inning on June sixth.

And we're "waking up" these old threads because ? ...

They were hidden, like the "Pretty" and "BMC" threads, because they were corrupted by spammer activity. This isn't a bump; I'm making a thread that was inaccessible accessible again.

Gotcha

Implied in this analysis: Ambivalent Dodger baserunning will result in quite a traffic jam at home plate, possibly very early in the first game of the NLDS.

Good job!
