Official Airline of the Mets
sharpie Oct 02 2006 12:01 PM |
So I fly outta LaGuardia on Friday. My plane is delayed so I'm in the terminal for a while. I come back on Sunday, to the same gate except that now there are DELTA AIRLINES - OFFICIAL AIRLINE OF THE NEW YORK METS signs all over the place, even on the little strip right below the baggage carousel. I imagine they've been the oficial airline for a while but they didn't make noise about it til the playoffs.

Or until the Mets proved to be anything but horrible. Some companies are so vain.

i'm not sure that an airline tie-in would have a positive effect on stadium food.

I've had some good meals on British Airways. In fact, when you go to England, there's a good chance that the airplane food will be the best thing you taste during your entire trip.

That's a pretty nasty thought. Necessary? Maybe if it was funny.
