It came as a shock when Connie Mack started him in the World Series opener against the Cubs. Mack reasoned that the sidearming Ehmke had the perfect mix of stuff to keep the predominantly righthand-hitting Cubs off balance. Ehmke struck out a then-record 13 in pitching an eight-hit, 3-1 victory.

Ya' gotta' believe.

Yancy, that card was ok I guess.
I was a little disappointed that you used "wife" as her position.
I'm prety sure that there must be some pictures of Anna in (how do I put this delicately?) other positions.

Remember, these are bubblegum cards! Back in 1973, only kids were buying them.

Now they probably could make baseball cards X-rated. At 50 cents each, only grownups can afford them.
