Dodger Blues (split from 1986/2006 Parallels)

That 'Dodgerblues' site keeps me going back there. It's like the old MOFO on Human Growth Hormone.

I-I-I don't want to look but I can't help myself.

One thing I saw there -

Kirk Gibson lame leg - 1988
Nomar Garciaparra lame leg - 2006

Not funny.

Nomar is no Derek Jeter

And Derek Jeter is NO KIRK GIBSON! No matter what the stats say, or that catch that ended Nomar's career in Boston!

I think that site is easy to misinterpret as vulgar and childish. It's really a brilliant work of caustic comedy. I posted this before, but the "note" the writer shows that inspired the site must have been the most traumatic form of child abuse I could possibly image. It's hilarious!

From Dodger Blues:
]What's the only thing more embarrassing than having two runners tagged out at the plate seconds apart? Allowing someone's friggin' grandfather to beat out a double-play ball.

Now THAT's funny.

BTW, my husband woke me with the news that Nomar is through for the series, is that true?

I heard he won't start, but is available to pinch-hit.

Can't run the bases either. If he gets on, he'll be replaced with a pinch-runner.

More from DodgerBlues in response to Jose Reyes' exuberence in Game 3.

That cracked me up. Keep in mind this was one sentence in a profane, racist post but still that part of the description had me cracking up.

That's the only problem with those guys, they're definitely funny but you can't read a post without having your race and religion dragged into the sewer.

I have no religion, and, being a white guy in America, I pretty much have no race either. But I still found them more off-putting than anything else. On the first page I looked at they were wishing cancer on each other's relatives.

I made an early exit and don't care to return. If there are any nuggets among all that hate I'm okay with missing out on them.

Kind of Post Facto, but there was enough on the Dodger Blues website to make it's own thread.

Man, that site is pathetic. I mean, I've have a lot of frustration over the Mets over the past 40 years, but I'd never resort to the sort of vicious crap you see over there. If you hate the players so much, why root for the team?

It's just a festering cesspool of immaturity and hate. Really sad.
