Anyone else sick of the commercials on WFAN?

The Rizzuto HOF one is great - especially when he says something like - "the ball hit the bat, it was a line drive and I got 199 after that", but c'mon. 150 times each day? The Nathan's guy is a good one too. Recollecting his days as a 12-year old die-hard MFY fan - Mantle's heady play, etc. But 200 times a day?

Variety is the spice of life

Om the other hand - I am thankful that WFAN decided to stream.

Take it from a former listener: the world is a brighter place when you don't listen to WFAN.

Yes. Listen to the Cars' second album instead. No commercials!

I hear you Y, but since I already gave up television about 5 years ago, I'm hesitant to go totally media-less. Maybe some day.

There are other radio stations.

FWIW, virtually ALL radio stations endlessly beat there ads into the ground. I talked to a guy who sold radio ad-time a bunch of years back and he said that the concept of 'repetition' was essentially gospel in the biz.

And I listen to others. Wfan is part of the mix.

Do you listen to the FAN online? Because the online stream has different sponsors, I believe. And not many of them. That's why you hear the "greatest sports moments" ad infinitum.

While we're on the subject, and I do listen to their online stream wayyy too often, I can't stand two of those "greatest sports moment" commercials.
First, I hate the guy who brings up Mantle in the 1960 series. Typical MFY fan, taking a great alltime moment and making it about the Yankees. And, you're team has won 26 World Series, and the best moment you can come up with is Mickey breaking up a double play?
And the other one is the guy doing the Rizzuto impersonation. It's just not that good of an impression. It's well-written, just not executed well.
