If I cant post em in the IGT in progress (which I think is the koolest, but Id rather watch these games w/o the distraction of creating em), I may as well just dump em in a thread. So, without further ado..... NLCS Game Cards. (save em- print em up- pass em around) Hey-anyone else who messes with graphics, post something post season here. Yancy, some more retro cards would be excellent. Even just pictures can be added here. Its our post season image diary.

This is the only one I've done so far. I suppose I'll do a few more. This is based on the 1970 Topps cards. I don't know why that Sporting News logo is across the top of the card. Maybe if I had the reverse side I'd understand.

The 70 topps look was a brilliant idea. Instant nostolgia. I did one also, influenced by your idea, but didnt plan on posting it. But Ill throw it up.

Awesome Z! Here's my big ticket wish list item - can you do a version of the NLDS celebration card along with audio of the team singing Meet the Mets? Yeah, some people are never satisfied ;)

Cant you do that in flash by importing the soundtrack to the flash library, then add to the image of the card? Im not all up on flash making. Feel free to do that if you can-it would be neat.

Its annoying when I find a pic I would have used after the fact. This is a nice picture though- should throw it up.

Lookin at closeups during the game, I didnt really like the way the grass pattern was cut, but laid out like that it really looks excellent.^

I do not want to put in the time it would take to do up tonights game---but I will do em all, even if its after the adventure that has been this postseason. I will finish these fake baseball cards eventually. More sooner than later. But Im gonna step off a bit to properly grieve the end of the run. I did whip up some special work, on THE CATCH. Not sure which Ill use for the card.

I have 3 of those four images of Chavez as clear (no backround) cutouts that can be placed anywhere (like colorforms) on the original pic (the Chavez far left-looking at pic- is the one thats part of the original pic-thus fixed in place). So, what Im asking, I guess, is which is the preferable layout. And does the colored up one look kool, or what? All I did there was oversaturate the resulting layout/pic. (I searched for all pics available last night after game-found around 6 or 7-similar view but mili-seconds apart. Some were crops from bigger shots) I gotta thank Endy for making this catch, cuz if he didnt give me that to remember, I would have been so much more bummed last night. What a catch--we'll be seein the replay forever--and to see METS emblazoned across the chest of the man who made that catch...... priceless. Worth it all. Thnk u Endy.

I like the closer together shot. I'd also try to sell it to Upper Deck or Topps as well! The Traded/Update sets usually come out late November and they've been using highlights of DS, LCS and WS games in those sets

="Yancy Street Gang"]Those composite shots are great, Zvon. Here's my "old school" take on Endy's catch: AWSUM!!! Love retro-esp that '72 "IN ACTION" look. I remember going "WOW! KOOL!" everytime I saw one. Even the Willie Mays, which was such a bad action shot of him sliding into a base, iirc. Seaver was kinda dull too-him on the mound smilin and slappin his glove. On some of those "IN ACTION" cards they chose to use some very interesting, non typical, shots.
