Last year, when I was planning my Italy trip, I phoned Naples to book ship passage to Sicily. The company, SNAV, put me on hold, and the music was a small soundbite from Imagine, played in an endless loop:

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Again and again and again.

I don't wear a walkman when I run (I worry that I won't hear traffic, etc. if I do), but when I zone out I usually find some music running through my head. The songs that get me through the run usually tell me a lot about my mood du jour.

If you mean, did it succeed in making me so crazy that I didn't hang on and book the reservation, then the answer is no. I endured, and eventually made it to Sicily.

"The Addams Family Rap" man --- an unsuccessful novelty rap movie promotion theme.

I mean, I'd be more surprised to have heard him doing "City of Crime" -- the Tom Hanks/Dan Ackyroyd rap from Dragnet, but less surprised to have heard the Eddie Murphy/Joe Piscopo "Honeymooners Rap."
