Honestly, I'm going to bed. But in my head, I'm going to find the computer that that thing is housed in and mash it with my Hillerich & Bradsby.

i hate that thing only because it seemedto replace the overhead camera for determining if a pitch was inside/outside, and i'd rather just see the pitch itself.

Excellent point. It's still Bill Webb, but FOX or MLB or Busch is apparently limiting his options.

Credit Where It's Due Department: The Super-Slo-Mo of pitchers' mechanics (particularly with Chad Bradford) are fascinating.

I'm surprised FOX has not yet tried putting a camera on the umps helmet...at least they don't use a glow trail on the ball like they did when they covered hockey.

Edgy, since you brought up the use of this graphic, I have a question.
I was at last Friday night's game. I sat at field level, so I could tell which pitches were high or low. (and the ump called some VERY low strikes against the Mets.)

But I couldn't judge inside or outside pitches. By how much was Maine missing the plate? Was he getting squeezed by the ump or were his pitches far off the plate?

They had a great shot of Green's double hitting the line.
