The John Rocker Award

This award is presented annually to the player (or place, or inanimate object) that proves most despicable, most detestable, most anathema to everything that is good and pure about the Mets. Sheesh, Looper isn't even close to desrving infamy. If you've got to vote for somebody, vote for Russo and Francesa or somebody. Vote for Brett Myers if you think he's guilty.

this was easy. Fatass gets my vote. If I had my way he gets plunked at least once in every game of the opening series in 2007. Looking for pics for the baseball cards I came across these two pics, which made me say to myself: "Just what the fuck do you think your looking at Fatass."

I hate to use the word hate..but there are only two players I hate..Clemens and Jeter....oh and A-Rod..and Rocker, and Mota..no wiat I now think Mota is the biz...Benitez..yes I hate him...not anymore though...damn I hate how I hate...

waaaaah! the big bad braden looper made fun of our song waaaaaaah!!!! fucking pussies. i bet every last one of those met fans who clicked on braden looper also were in the stands for benitez meltdown numero uno, 2001, chanting "ohhh oh o-o-ohhhh o-o-ohhh ohhh o-o-ohhhhh" thinking yall were so cool when the damned game wasn't even won yet, poking the pointy stick at karma like y'all shoulda known better, and then all sitting there agog that the fat lady didnt get up and sing in time, while john franco loses the game in bonus time. it was cool to make fun of the other team tehn, huh? but now they're all like "waaaaaah!!!! that other team made fun of us. that's just hurtful! waaaah!!!!!" met fans make me sick. ... sorry. i'd've typed out a big fat "SO?" over the whole looper song thingy earlier, but hadn't sensed the need. if looper = rocker over that, what does that say of a whole stadium full of chant-mockers? does it matter that its a player this time? yes. it actually makes it better, cos now he gets to stick it to everybody who booed his ass off while he pitched hurt for a whole season and kept his mouth shut. oh, and i'm grouchy today.

I'm not whining about it, I just think it's a bit assholish for the team's mop-up reliever to do something like that. It's not "waaaahh waaaahh" as much as "Wow, that goofy looking guy with the shit-eating grin sure is an ass". That's the spirit of the award! Assholes!

i dont really think anyone deserves a "rocker award" this year. the closest i can think of is Pujols for running his mouth about Glavine, but i still wouldnt give it to him

wait are you comparing the met fans mocking the chop to looper or to rocker? if you're comparing them to looper i agree 100%, neither what they did nor what he did is really offensive at all, and neither deserves comparison to rocker.

Sorry - after rereading my post, I should have been more specific. I was comparing the met fans to Looper.
