Going out to a nice dinner with MMYF.
It will be very unhurried, because we know we won't have to rush home to see a baseball game.

Sigh

This morning, the little one had a cheerleading competition, and then this afternoon, my oldest had a band concert...

More than once I had the thought to go and check the score on the radio. Having no baseball sucks.

I had my baseball fix today - MK's Fall Ball game (there is no angst like the angst of watching your 10-year-old pitch).

Tonight D-Dad and I have theater tickets in Princeton. We're seeing Brian Freel's new play, Translations.

There's a World Series game tonight. Last baseball fix available for a long time.

What is this "World Series" you speak of? I'm intrigued. You say there's still live baseball available to watch? Can I root against Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina?

Friday night I had 4 buddies over. We grilled burgers, drank bourbon, and told stories until early Saturday morning.

A few hours later on Saturday morning, I got up and went sailboating on Kerr Lake with a friend.. Came home, had dinner with the family and watched the World Series until the score became 7-1. Turned off the TV and decided to get an early night of rest.

Beer, popcorn, and hopefully I can find a book I haven't read 10 times.

Why do you ask, anyway?

My coobyvision needs to go in the shop again when she asks why to posts

Finishing work I didn't get done today.

Hoping the baby stays asleep tonight (he's teething big-time).

Not convincing CPFers to support Oh for the HoF.

I was looking for the "What are you listening to" thread and came across it. It looked like an interesting question from out of the blue.

The date of the first post provides the context. This was the day after the Mets were eliminated from the playoffs. Thus the question really being asked was "what are you going to do now that there's no Mets baseball to watch."
