Florida, it seemed, had four good candidates, but I guess Mike Jabobs was disqualified by service time since he got no support.

No, only 100 ABs in '05 so he was still eligible.

I was thinking his time on the 2005 roster may have disqualified him apart from his at-bat total.

No, because remember he didn't come up until late August. He got all his ABs as a pretty much full-time player. Very little sitting on the bench once he got his foot in the door.
