My 9 month year old nephew with someone who apparantly forgot his hat!

Apparantly 27 bucks at the Westchester Mall in White Plains

Very cute kid...looks like Santa is packing something extra...maybe he stuffed his hat down there.

I've secretly been looking at this picture on and off since it was posted.

There is so much material here but... I just can't.

I'll tell you this though, it ranks right up there as one of the best posts I've ever seen.

Looking at this (again) reminds me--- for the first three years of my daughter's life, her pictures with Santa look more like she is wrestling with him than sitting on his lap.

You nephew is a brave man, Steve.

But what do you mean by "apparantly 27 bucks"?

Santa usually hangs around with eight bucks, except when it's foggy and Rudolph is the ninth.

I think Santa's deer are does because they have antlers and male reindeer shed their antlers for the winter. Of course, he probably does have 27 bucks at least at the North Pole for breeding purposes.

After I posted that I remembered that reindeer are the only members of the deer family where females have antlers.

One other fun reindeer fact I learned in Alaska this summer is that reindeer and caribou are the same animals. When they're in the wild they're called caribou and when they're domesticated they're called reindeer.

Often on menus in Alaska I saw reindeer stew and reindeer hot dogs. The meat was probably raised on a ranch. But I wonder if the meat was wild game if they would have called it caribou stew or caribou hot dogs?
