I'm aghast.

hopefully they are only referring to the black uni.

many of the hockey teams depicted are pretty bad. but the broncos, d-rays, mets, and even the braves? i... i don't get it.

the d-backs and rockies are ok, but the mets are poorly dressed?

and the attached quotes are just dumb.

Not quite as bad as this....

Any photo essay about worst-dressed teams that does not include the Toronto Blue Jays horrible new uniforms is a crock. And the Rockies black vest sullies what was a darn good look.

SI is a well-known haven for Yankee-hacks who seem to be constantly on the prowl to put down the Mets.

A few tasteless uniforms from years gone by:

I loved to watch Nolan Ryan pitch, particularly when he was throwing the curveball for strikes. He was practically unhittable when he was on. That "Rainbow" uniform was tough to look at though.

The old yellow and brown uniforms of the Padres were pretty tough to look at without sunglasses on. Come to think of it, those San Diego teams of the 1970's were pretty tough to watch too.

Even "Pops" couldn't make these uniforms look good. At least they looked better than those atrocious Padres uniforms and back then the Pirates fielded good teams that were worth watching.

As an aside, note the pants and socks. At least they knew how to properly wear a baseball uniform back then, no matter how ugly they might have been.

Two notes on the Norman card:

No fans?

A left-handed third baseman??

Good call, and the Browns unis are horrible...

the knicks' and bruins' don't strike me as great uniforms. especially not some of the variations the knicks have put out lately.

also, i think that if the celtics sucked, and had no history, the green wouldn't look anywhere near as good. but its still a good call.

i have to disagree with the inclusion of so many home-white (or road-white depending on the sport) uniforms. every team has one and theres no reason that the the Red Sox look any better than the Royals.

i counted 4 white baseball uniforms alone, how about the Grays?

I actually liked the old Astros uniforms -- they looked pretty sharp, and people only think otherwise because the color scheme has gone out of style.

Now for bad, there's always this:

The shorts make is ridiculous to start with, but look at those collars. They look like giant bowties.

The black outlining on the Lions uni's makes in worse, IMO.

The Browns are excellent though, one of the all-time best.
