Recommend a Web Designer

I intend to kill mbtn.net and rebuild it in a more useful, interactive way. I no longer have time (or that much interest) in learning how to design my own.

Freelance web designers grow on trees but the one guy I know so far has yet to get on the ball... so recommend your guy.

I need a solution to manage an awful lot of data online, a front page design that can categorize and organize updates sorta like a blog. It needs to look good but not like everything else. Ideally I'd like someone who works cheap too.

I could lend a hand for free. Not sure about time frames though

Here is my Met page design, ermmm, "history"

Attempt at a Met Fan voted HOF that fell in disrepair due to lack of interest, I solicited from various newsgroups and email servers, by the last year (2001 I believe) I only got 15 or so votes.

My intention was that the pictures would be almost baseball card like. You clicked on it and up popped a clean page with the thumbnail sketch bio and stats. I think I did create the Carter one, but never got around to uplinking the links.

For some reason I guess when Murph died I had to add RIP to the "plaque"

This is what happens when you start a site and then realize two other mega sites do what you want to do for the most part! Well that and you don't have all the time in the world to get things started! =;)

And here was my main Mets page, note the logo "stolen" from the original Mets.com!

Which included I guess would be what today would be called a "blog" in a comentary section, only one thing apparantly survived is my "How I Became A Met Fan" entry.

]Wonder what Todd Hundley is up to? Wonder if Dave Magadan is still around? This is the place
Heh, I heard Rico Brogna is a good fit!

Around that time I was taking an HTML beginners course in college and for reasons of taking the first non-sports related thing that came to mind I put up a Garth Brooks site on Angelfire.com, sadly, or maybe not so sadly heh, I don't recall the address, or have any of the files still.

You don't need a web-designer, you need an assistant. I suggest that the
little guy be enrolled in a pre-pre-pre school web and database design class
NOW!!!

I like it the way it is. What's the five biggest changes you'd like to make?

1. Organize
2. Organize
3. Simplify
4. Organize
5. Update
