All we have left is some turkey, stuffing, and I think one piece of pie. And most of the whipped creme, which you can eat right out of the container

I recruited enough cooks, donors, decorators, drivers, servers, cleaners, and other nice people to feed a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal to over 100 people on Wednesday.

Based on the actual commitments I got from people, I went to sleep on Wednesday very nervous, but the volunteers kep' coming and coming.

People thanked me but all I did was run around like a useless maniac. Everybody really came through.

You gave over 100 people something to be thankful for.
You may have run around like a maniac. But your efforts certainly weren't "useless".
You should be very happy.
You had the best kind of Thanksgiving of all.
And this certainly doesn't deserve to be hidden in the Red Light Forum.

Great job, Edgy! It's great to take time and lend a helping hand to those that are less fortunate than ourselves.

True, but the red light can use some green light from time to time. Nice stuff, Edge.

Actually, this has become my second, part-time job. (Third, if you count the Pool.) We feed them every weekday, but usually soup and some forgettable egg salad sandwiches. I'm really not cut out for the organization part of the job --- and, if we don't get a grant soon, I'll be working for free --- so giving them something particularly special at the holidays was tough.

Peeps really stepped up.
