Happy Chanukah

My Rabbi once said that all Jewish holidays come down to this -

They tried to kill us
They didn't kill us
Let's eat!

In this case, latkes for all (with my recommendation that cranberry sauce beats both applesauce and sour cream as a topping by a mile!)

I'm not a religious person, but I have a spiritual connection with good eats.

Happy Chanahanukkah, and happy latkes!

Have a great time everyone! May you all have fond new memories for the Christmas/Hannukah thread!

Chag Sameach!

apple sauce is way better than cranberry with latkes...sour cream sucks with them, save it for blintzes.

Kind of a morbid (although I'm sure I can't aprpreciate rabbinical sense of humor)
way to look at any holiday for my taste.

If I'm gonna say grace or make a toast of sorts, I prefer ...

rub a dub dub
thanks for the grub
yeaaahhhh, lord!!

I had a disk crash on a server late this afternoon and had to stick around until
I could schedule IBM to come fix it over the weekend. Upon leaving I plugged
the menorah in that's in our multi-decorated reception area and turned on the first
light. It made me feel nice for a moment, and then I thought ... do I have to do
everything around here? I'll light the second tomorrow, I'm on it!

Happy Hanukkah--

We are an interfaith family so we celebrate 'em all: Christmas, Passover, Hanukkah, Easter-- my kids make out like bandits, and they deserve it.

I always suspected DocTee was Neil Diamond.

Happy Chanukah. I wish you all health and happiness during the Festival of Lights and throughout the year.

Thanks, Doc.
And the same best wishes for a great holiday season to everyone else, too.

This is a nice memory. All week my middle guy had been bursting with excitement because he had bought "the perfect" gift for me. He gave it to me last night - a hand held Sudoku game :) He knows that I've been enjoying Sudoku recently, and he saw the game and spent a couple of weeks worth of allowance on it because he knew that I'd love it. And I do :)
