I'm afraid to even click on their links. Viagra is probably tame compared to what's really there

Coob -- sadly, the answer is yes. These people do it because they make money on it. I was reading about the pennystock scam in the times. They buy bunch of shares of worthless stock. They send out those millions of spams saying Hi! It's Eustace! and touting the stock. Just enough people fall for it, and buy the stock, to spike its value, and then they sell it. It's pretty much of a perfect crime, and untraceable, because they aren't even setting up their own websites.

As a friend of mine often says, "The world is full of stupid people."

The thing I find even sadder though is Domain Squatters, specifically the ones who have the name that is a bit off. I mean are people that "guliable" into thinking that they really did stumble on something that is what they were looking for or "just as good" i.e. various software programs where the name is slightly off, or say you type Goolge.com instead of Google and you get... Okay bad example as it seems Google has gobbled up all it's "misspellings" But generally you'll get something that will look like it's going to give you listings for the actual thing you are looking for, but generally it's redirections and garbage sites. Like I said, are they banking on people thinking they got something thats just as good as what they were looking for that they'll surf that site (no doubt loaded with spyware/adware crap)
