Anyone have any experience or know someone who has glaucoma? I spent
two hours at the ophthalmologist this morning and have to go back next week.

They were right, it does make you go blind.

If only we had an eye doctor around here somewhere...

I'm not a doctor. Nor do I play one on TV. But here are some quick resources on the topic -

Thanks. I read up a lot on it a year ago when I was knocking on it's door,
it seems the door has opened and I'm being beckoned to come on in. The
Merck link is a good clear one to print out for KB so I appreciated it.

Glad to help.

(Also glad that something I found in my library studies was helpful.)

Is there a proposed treatment plan yet?

Just eye drops at first, I find out next week. There's a whole bunch of other
stuff like lasers and surgeries I don't even want to think about just yet.

Hopefully the drops will be sufficient. Good luck with that!

KC, I'll be happy to answer any questiions you or KB may have regarding the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma either here in this thread or privately via pm's.

With timely diagnosis and aggressive treatment you can maintain good vision throughout your lifetime. Best of luck to you and let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

Wow, I missed this before KC, best of luck to you; as Rockin Doc knows, I've been through some eye procedures with my dad and there is a lot of good stuff happening in eye medicine these days.
