Can you be more specific?

He can only mean the Pretty thread.

I have no idea where it went. It's not in the Bitch Archives.

Yancey - "...It's not in the Bitch Archives."

I know a few of the ladies may have been cranky, but there's no need for name calling.

I can only think that, by deleting a spam poster, I inadvertantly deleted the thread he/she posted in.

If so, I'm very sorry. I had no idea that would happen.

I'm thinking these are actual people, and not spam-bots, as this one --- rather than start a new thread as usual --- seems to have sought out the closest thing to a sex fantasy thread we had in which to post their links to sex sites.

I suppose that the idea of starting over is cold comfort, but hopefully something that can take the sting out of this for you.

I'm not the most computer savvy person here, but doesn't KC back up the forum every night? Is it possible to reinstate a lost thread from the back up?

It would be great if there was some way of restoring lost information. I hate that we lose threads on account of spammers.

I think a better way to look at the backup is a means of restoring the entire
database in the event of a catastrophe ... like ezboard was unable to do. If
there is a way to cull individual threads from it, it's way over my head.

I figured there was a reason that it had never been done, but I had to ask to placate my own curiosity. It is still good to know that there is a back up plan in the event the site is, heaven forbid, ever nuked like happened with EZBoard.
