I voted this one...

Omar claims he's done, but I voted "tweak."

Stick a fork in 'em. They're done.

Know what we haven't had for a few years? A reliable catcher with options. So every time Piazza / Lo Duca / Castro get knocked out for more than a day or two, we've had to make a roster transaction and still only ended up with a choice of Mike De Felice or Sandy Martinez, who we'd then have to pass through waivers after his brief stint.

With Joe Hietpas' prospects careening toward the cliff, Zach Clements turning in his catching gear, and Jesus Flores nailed in the Rule V draft, Andy Wilson is furthest along of our system's catchers, and he's more or a batter who catches.

Get us a catcher who can ride the shuttle.

Give my boy a chance, will ya?

He has gotten plenty of chances.. A .460 OPS over two levels doesn't look like a good case to pencil somebody in for big-league work.

So far I am the lone wolf here.

I don't see anything happening between now and spring training, but some time before first pitch in St. Louis, I expect (hope?!?) that a deal will be made to bring in a top of the rotation pitcher. Here's to Lastings Milledge tearing the cover off of the ball in March.

I'd like to see that too, but not so that he can be traded. I'd prefer to see him displace Green. (Or Alou, but Green is probably more likely.)

By top of the rotation starter I hope you don't mean Joe fucking Blanton.

I guess for the Mets in 2007, a top-of-the-rotation starter would be anyone who's better than Tom Glavine.

That's not setting the bar impossibly high by any means.
