Neither did the arriviste Staten Island Chuck.

Neither did I, but it's snowing. I did, however, see the shadow of the fricking moron who almost sideswiped me because she thought the right-turn lane was actually a straight lane.

I wonder what it would do to the weather prediction if I were to get out to certral PA one year and - staking out a spot in a tree somewhere - pick off that ugly rodent with a high-powered rifle before he got the chance to "tell" the town elders of his observations?

It'd make a good movie.

Librarians should have a soft spot for Punxsutawney Phil. The Groundhog Zoo resides in the Punxsutawney Public Library -

Why do you hate freedom and love terror?

While you're out there, Frayed, take out a few of those elders in top hats

FK, I'll room ya for the night. Still about a hundred mile drive though, so you'd have to leave pretty early for sunrise!

We haven't really had a winter yet.
|
cooby Feb 02 2007 10:58 AM |
No, it has been wonderful! Reminds me of 1980 when we only had one or two snowstorms (we haven't even had one yet) and at the end of the winter, during the Winter Olympics, the brother of a friend of mine was killed in a wreck in an ice storm.

FWIW, Punxsutawney is a lovely little town. We stopped by there a couple of times en route west.

Oh trust me, there will be cross-hairs centered on top hats.

Snowing now (real snow, not lake), our first of the year
|

Our schools had a two hour delay this morning, and have already called one for tomorrow. That's unheard of, usually our school district waits until 5:59 am to call them.

And it was about minus 10 - 15 wind chill the last two mornings. So much for groundhogs.

I lost my earmuffs right before the coldest week of the year. I'm starting to think these groundhogs don't know what they're talking about.

Early spring doesn't generally mean early February, you know.

We know, but Cooby is just getting warmed up (uh, maybe there's a better term I could have used) for a rant. And we didn't want to get in her way. :) Later

Nope, not a problem for me; he drives himself to school
|
MFS62 Feb 07 2007 07:29 AM |
You drive a groundhog to school?
|
Willets Point Feb 07 2007 08:55 AM |
No, can't you read, the groundhog drives himself to school.

I like to think of him more as a little pony
