Remember Valadius? Good dude. Wonder if he'll come back during the season. Same with Zvon, with whom Valadius is inexorably linked in my mind. They were the first two new really active Poolers once we moved from ezboard. They joined us around the same time, then just kinda vanished. Very odd.

A year ago today Bret humiliated Val and his nickname machine, leading to a lengthy absence on the young Val's part.

He was back during the "pennant race" (such as it was in the NL East this year) and postseason though, my guess is, or I hope its all school related this time. BTW, there was a scuttlebutt that the CPFer named iramets might be Bret, or at least KC thinks it is. I kind of wonder as well since Ira dug into to me in much the same way Bret did into Val when I tried my "Internet Mets Fans Hall of Fame" thing a couple of months ago. Anyway, again I hope its that Val is cracking down on his sophmore year at whatever DC area college he is attending (I think Georgetown it is, I could be mistaken)
