This is pathetic. At Thanksgiving, I broke down and got a cell phone.

Since then I have had five phone calls, and three have been wrong numbers. It is getting to be a family joke.

First couple of months I had credit card spam... uh check that, telemarketers calling for the person who previously had the number.

One time I stopped a guy in mid sentence to say "Yeah, ya got the wrong number" and he asked "How do you know I have the wrong number"

We have a second line, and from Day One we'd get people calling that line, looking for the deadbeats who previously had the number. This lasted for years. But a couple of months ago we got a fax machine. Now we have Line 2 set up to go straight to the fax machine. We don't get any more wrong numbers, and the callers have likely learned to keep us the heck alone <g>

Cell phone lays on desk today. Cell phone rings. Cooby and her boss faint. Cooby answers phone. "Hello, is this Richard?" Cooby's heart breaks further.

4 out of 6 calls wrong numbers...

Give us the phone number already. How can we call you when you're unlisted?

I might have to do that if I ever want a real live call for me! The worse part is, they keep asking for different people!

Although my real live son did text message me this evening :o)
