It Was Wagner

In Adam Rubin's article today he mentions that it was Wagner that put the "know your place rook" sign up last year.
]........or behaving in a manner with teammates that prompted Billy Wagner to post a sign in his locker the final weekend of the season advising him to "Know your place rook," Milledge drew his share of unwelcome attention in '06.

Does this surprise you? Who had you thought was the one who put up that sign?

I'm shocked that it was Wagner....stunned so I am...flabergasted that he would do such a thing.....he must have really had enough of Lastings....and a pitcher do that to a position player...what cheek.

Wagner's a dumb jock like the rest of them.

Wasn't Wagner the one who had the tiff with (the now-Sainted ex-Yankee) Corey Lidle over the ice cream-eating incident? Wagner seems to be the self-appointed code of conduct enforcer.

I thought it was already common knowledge that Wagner was the sign-hanging "culprit". Maybe I had heard Rubin say so over the radio.

Remember that it was eventually revealed to be Randall K. Myers who scrawled; "Are We Really Trying?" on the lineup card next to Gregg Jefferies name all those years ago.

Maybe that sort of behavior has something to do with being a slightly off-kilter lefty reliever?
