go see the fantasy baseball forum for any other info and questions, we do have room for new people.

I've never done a Fantasy Baseball league but I've always been curious.

I've done football and actually was the commissioner of a league but baseball requires much more attention, right?

That's really the only thing that keeps me from joining one.

Remember what happened to Marv Albert when he became "curious."

Not necessarily. You can effectively manage a fantasy baseball team just by checking in once or twice a week, like you would for a fantasy football team. On the other board we've also talked about tweaking the rules so that it's not intimidating for people who don't check Rotoworld five times a day.

Well if the truck driver had shown up for the threesome like he was supposed to then Marv might never had got in trouble....

NYMR, I'm not planning on joining after all, no hard feelings, but I just don't have the time for an intensive league.

But anyway, what I wanted to report is that every time I click on that link, it says I'm not a member of that league and so I can't enter. And I thought that was the link to become a member, so I wonder if other people are having the same experience and can't join.

i'm not sure and since i'm in i have no way of testing it, but the league ID and password should work. thanks.

try this link instead:

http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/
and then click on "join a league" under baseball 07 (not PLUS!) then click on "join custom" in the page that opens, and then it'll take you to the page below:

http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/register/joinprivateleague_league_select?.scrumb=

wherein you input the league ID # and password.

i think we need but one more team (12) and we're fine. too many teams (some would say like last year) water down the league and make for really sad roster decisions down the road.

too few teams, and i'd say 12 is too few for a league with all MLB players, leads to all-star rosters and does not reward people for their knowledge and ability to find depth. i consider 10-12 optimal for NL-only leagues and 16-18 for combined leagues...i've never done an AL league but i'd assume you'd want to keep those at 10 due to 2 less mlb teams.

at the very least i'd like to get to 14 teams

edit- mods, feel free to move this thread as anyone who logs on semi-regularly has probably seen it by now.
