Cool tip

This may be old news, but I just found out about it today.

If you ever lock your keys in your car and someone has access to your spare set you can call them and hold your cell phone near the lock and have them press the remote button on the spares next to the speaker on their phone and it will unlock your car.

I had no idea it was an (inaudible) audio signal.

This is the third time I've had to Snopes something today. Urban legends are 0-for-3.

Snope this. My house is 32 miles away from my office and it worked today when I heard of this and tried it.

For laughs, I tried it once and it didn't work.

Maybe the technology varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
