I'm off to Denver for a week for our annual convention. There's a pot of chili in the fridge.

Is that pot of chili in the Denver fridge or are you leaving a pot of chili for your mate?

I'll be working 14-hour days.

Haven't done any skiing since I don't know when. Chili is in case you get hungry while I'm gone.

Does the chili have meat in it?

Have a good trip.

Yeah, it's got a lot of meat!

(Yeah, it's the obvious joke, but someone had to do it.)

If it's our annual convention, why aren't all of us going?

(j/k - have fun!)

Actually, I've long wanted to have a conference. Though not just Crane Poolers. Sort of a Mets-centered SABR conference. Rent a room, buy some sandwiches.

A personal inertia that clinical researchers find fascinating keeps it from getting off the ground.

Just booking my flight to Denver March 26-28th. Hope to squeeze an extra day to do some "skiing".

There's a big nasty bear here --- three oe four stories tall --- peering through the windows of the convention center. I have a lifelong proneness to getting the heebie-jeebies from collosal sculptures.

Today it's snowing and Ursa Major has a blanket on his back, seemingly makiing his desire all the more urgent to crash through the windows of the center, take shelter and devour us all.

Dang, Edgy, I found out tonight that my nephew is in Las Vegas and tore the whole way home from my mom's to tell you to watch for him only to find out you are in Denver.

But that bear is awesome
