I'm starting to size up my sleepers.

If Marist gets in I think they could go a coupla rounds.

I'm feeling the madness.

In terms of the smaller conference schools, both So. Illinois and Nevada really impressed me when I watched them on bracketbuster weekend. They could both win a few games.

Winthrop I think could also surprise.

A team seeded somewhere from 6-11 that I think could make a nice run? Xavier. Veteran team. Good, athletic size, good guards, and playing great right now.

Central Connecticut State is another one that if they win their conference tourney and get in are capable of a first round win.

The semifinals of the Big South tourney did nothing for me last night on ESPNU. I wasn't even into the GT-UNC game and the Tar Heels lost. I think it's NFL hangover.

I've been rooting hard for Wisconsin all winter.

I'm ready for March Madness.

Did anybody else get an email from Yahoo saying the tournament registration is open? That was fun last year.

After seeing that guy from UNC get clocked in the nose, blood all over the place, I'm starting to awake from my college basketball slumber.

The operative word in the above quote being 'if'.

March 5, 2007 -- Kenny Hasbrouck scored 26 points to lead Siena past Marist 86-78 last night in the semifinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament in Bridgeport, Conn. Siena advanced to its first MAAC championship game since 2002.

The fourth-seeded Saints (20-11) will meet Niagara, 77-52 winners over Rider - in the final. Charron Fisher's 16 points and 11 rebounds led the Purple Eagles (20-11) over Rider.

As the conference's regular season champion, the Red Foxes (24-7) are guaranteed a berth in the NIT.

A few upsets in the conference tournaments. I'm still not awake yet.

I have tickets for the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game on Sunday in Chicago, so ST games have definitely taken a backseat to March Madness for me.

Hopefully Wisconsin makes it to play on Sunday...but either way it should be a good time.

Now that the selections have been made and the brackets are out I'm starting to feel the excitement.

As always, there are some good teams left out of the tournament. I think the fans of Syracuse, Drexel, Kansas State, and Florida State have every reason to be upset. Air Force did themselves in with a late season losing streak that effectively killed their chances.

Having just briefly glanced at the brackets, I think UNC drew a potentially tough road in the East. They could potentially have defeat Marquette and Texas to reach the Elite 8. Ohio State appears to have a much easier road in the South regional final..

This tournament hasn't started yet and I'm already sick of it.
