its up to $6,666 right now (one wonders if the idiots reading these news stories know that ebay takes fraudulent bidding seriously.)

Heh, very true. Couple of years ago as a joke 1050 ESPN Radio just threw up a Michael Kay signed dollar bill (Kay lost it on a bet and the winner refused to take it) and once it started getting crazy bids they decided to make the auction worth the money by making it a charitable donation (IIRC it was going to be something Marty Lyons is a part of) plus the winner would come down to the studio during a show. Well, the winning bidder never paid up! Kay's show also did have some crazy ebay bidders one day when Kay noticed that a ball he signed was on ebay, the final price was probably some 500% more than an actual signed Michael Kay ball should be worth, but mostly because morons heard the show and were jacking up the price. Kay just mentioned it because he was unsure if he ever signed a ball in Toronto (the memoriabillia shop that was selling the ball) No clue if that ball ever got paid for or not, I doubt it, I mean I wouldn't pay for a Gary Cohen signed ball (equivelent personaility) for as much (high hundreds) that it went for! Murphy, Nelson, Allen, Barber, Kiner eh maybe, if it was a combo (Murph, Nelson, Kiner or Allen, Barber) of course! Just gotta shake your heads sometimes.

Hey, I have a Gary Cohen autographed baseball! I met him in the parking lot after a game once when I was a kid. Very cool.
