Daylight Savings

No problems here with the adjusted daylighted savings. Comcast, however, continues to suck. The programming is all messed up by an hour. Luckily the live stuff, like the Mets, is on-time even if the internal clock is off.

Today was way too short

The problem with this new change-date is going to show up 3 weeks from now when those newer appliances: computers, VCRs/disc machines, etc., will change the clock on their own because that's what they are pre-programmed to do. Meanwhile, of course, you'll have changed them manually today (unless you want them an hour off for the next 3 weeks and wind up taping the news instead of '24') and will have to do so again then.

My computer changed itself automatically when I awoke and checked it this morning. Hopefully, it won't attempt to change again in 3 weeks.

My laptop changed itself today, but my personal computer didn't. I hope I remember which one did what in three weeks....

Then I assume you have a REALLY new computer -- one which was programmed to change on the NEW date rather than the old one.
Any machine more than a year or so old would have instructions to change in late March.

I got the lappy right before starting grad school, so that was the summer of 2005.

My wife's laptop was purchased in November of 2005. Our home computer was purchased in November of 2004. Both updated automatically. I must admit that I was rather surprised to see that the home computer in the study did so.

Ours didn't change. Circa September 2004.

My (cut rate) cell phone and my husband's (middle of the road) cell phone did change, but my son's chocolate (aren't they supposed to be primo?) cell phone did not change

There really should be no problems with new computers, microsoft and apple sent out "patches" to fix any problems, people think the problems might happen in older systems, the way around this is to fix the clock in manuel mode.
