My favorite 'Old Spice' ad was the mock one they did on the old SNL a bunch of years back. If you remember the real ad, it was one where the rugged, good-looking sailor just off his ship would stroll through the port town with all the women in town checking him out and all the men and older folks admiring his manly bearing. Eventually he finds his one special girl and gives the camera a knowing smile as they walk arm-in-arm into the sunset as the announcer says: 'Old Spice: Why women have always waited for their men to come back from the sea' Anyway, the best part about those old SNL mock ads was that they were so well that they were largely indistinguishable from the real ones. This one was the same way up until the very end when our sailor hooks up with another man as the announcer adds: 'Old Spice: For men who have been at sea a bit too long'

I gave my Dad Old Spice on many an occassion-- I'd hate to see the new advertisement for Jean Nate, which was my gift du jour to Mom.
