Good? Bad? NL? AL?

So, small sample size aside, we're doing pretty well against the defending champs, who are appearing to have more issues with their pitching than we are. (Chris Carpenter is skipping his next start after complaining about soreness after his opening day outing.)

You think the American League has all the best non-Metly teams again?

If true it would certainly bode well for the Mets.

But I think every team needs to get through their rotations a few times before we even begin to speculate.

It's early yet, but I think the best three teams in the NL might be in the East. Cubs and Cards may have something to say about that though. We'll have to see.

I don't know if i could consider phillies and braves heads above the NL Central. in the end, they may be marginally better, but if the records are significantly different, It's going to be more due to the fact that philly and Atl get to beat up on the marlins and nats than them being that much better.

I don't know if I could consider the Phillies and Braves heads above the Marlins -- Julio's implosion against the Nationals this afternoon notwithstanding. They were only a game behind the Braves last year, and should only move forward this year. Plus I think the alleged improvements the Braves and Phillies have made are largely exaggerated.
