Agreed. A lot of card photos in those days were taken in New York and Chicago.

My memory is really going... but was there a time during the pullover era that the Mets only had one jersey? That might explain Allen who looks an awful lot like he's pitching in Cincy, Pittsburgh or Philly in that shot.

I hated that road blue. I also hated that 1987 road lettering--somehow I knew they weren't going to repeat when I saw that.

Middle of the 1980 season. Same on-the-fly renovation that converted the seats from wood to plastic.

That seemingly un-natural grass behind Allen is definitely grass (ergo, not Riverfront, Three Rivers, Vet) because the full infield dirt arc is there.
