Off today, half day tomorrow to keep from sinking.

I was originally scheduled to be off today, but my partners are leaving on vacation so I will be working until noon. Our office will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday so I will still get a nice long weekend.

Off today, office closed. I am the only Jew in the place.

Getting the car checked for emissions and buying a new pair of jeans (wife says the ones I have now look like I have a dump in my pants).

I thought Good Friday was the one day in the year when Mass wasn't said.

I guess I misremembered. Am I thinking of Holy Thursday or Holy Saturday?

You're right. Good Friday's service isn't technically a mass because there's no consecration.

Cutting out early for a consecration-free Good Friday service.

Here, but likely out early. Rumor has us closing at 4. Reality has my direct supervisor calling out sick, which means a long lunch could turn into a short afternoon, providing we don't have any students come in.

Cutting out early to dedicate my afternoon to Jesus by playing WoW.

Well, I wish that were true and, TBH, I probably wouldn't really be dedicating it to Jesus.

Was just at a 3pm one. This is how odd the extended DST thing is, first off I'm off today since I work for a financial institution and the markets are closed, and since it's very much light outside it seems more like a Saturday during mid-spring through early fall (more early fall with the chill in the air) than a Friday.

A super-long service in my yute which I altar-boyed a couple of times doing
the procession thing. One thing that stands out in my mind is being pissed and
telling my hommies that we should be collecting tips as people leave and getting
some laughs in all somberness of the event.

No disrespect to the faithful, but I'm thankful I don't have nightmares.

JD -"home sick"

I'm often homesick when I'm in the office. Hope you get feeling better soon.

Wow, what a crummy thing to say to your spouse
