Archives: Heads Up!

The weekly archiving of the forum will commence around 4 pm this afternoon. If there are are threads that have been inactive for 30+ days that you would like to make sure aren't archived be sure to make a post in that thread and/or send me a pm. After the fact complaints such as "I can't find the All-Purpose Navel Gazing thread!!! Why was it archived?!?!" will be laughed at derisively, then ignored.

The Squid will be swimming in around 4 this afternoon to do the weekly archive. Threads that haven't been active since March 27th will be archived offsite unless a) the Squid likes them, b) you bump the thread, or c) you send me a pm telling me you'd like a particular thread saved in Featured Archives or NBF classics. Thanks!

Why was the film review forum dropped? There seemed to be a justifiable number of postings going on there. Where will the Spiderman 3 polls go?

The Squid spaced and forgot to archive yesterday. Will try to archive later today. As usual bump or notify me about threads you want to save on the board. The cut off date is April 3.

Just a dumb queation,this site has the potential to go on for many years,is there a squid in training to archive the future...what will this place look like in 40 years,Willets I have my doubts that you'll be up to the task of archiving at that time.

some Squids are believed to have lifespans of 50-80 years, so GSLC should be with us for awhile.... unless one of us gets really mad at him and goes after him with a harpoon

Just as a favor for your friendly neighborhood archivist, if you start an "in-game thread" or a "know thy enemy", please try to put at least IGT or KTE in the title. Most people already do this, and it's not really a big deal, and I'm not laying down the law with an edict, nor am I attempting to stifle your as ever brilliant creativity. It's just easier to archived those threads if I can latch on to some initials. Thanks.
