Yours truly will appear as talking head on the History Channel.

A program on the overland portage of vessels and historical predecessors.

Are you going to talk about Francis Marion - the Swamp Fox?
Or his home town, where there is a Rice Museum?
Or the ex-Met farm team the Columbia Bombers?

I'll be watching.

The Spirit of South Carolina is an educational sailing ship-- but the good people of that state built it some two miles from the coast, so engineers and logisticians had to figure out a way to move it...

i know a bunch of people that have appeared on futureweapons...

there's a decent chance that if i stay with my current program, that i, too, would have that same opportunity.

Doc, I was partially kidding, since rice is grown on watery land and Marion's home town, Georgetown, in on a marshy coast. I thought they might be connected with the portage of the ship, or the need to do that..

I'll be watching anyhow.

If you stand for the History Channel bumping you then, the next thing you know, Leno & Letterman aren't returning your calls.

The episode is "Ships on Land" --replay at 1100 Saturday morning, I think.

It was a lot of fun to do and a blast to watch; my keds especially got a kick out of seeing me on TV. I don't think I come of as too much of a blowhard. I was nervous, to be sure, but the more I spoke the more comfortable I became. Hope to get the chnace to do it again someday.

Nuts... forgot to set the DVR. Tomorrow morning's replay is "Sub Salvage," so perhaps at some later date.
