I know Webb is good and Sosa is a rook, but when Tony Clark is batting fourth you gotta think you have an advantage in the lineup.

Just like we had the lineup disadvantage when he batted fourth for us.

I don't know how I feel about Captain Redass batting fifth.

Sosa's no rook, he's 30 years old. Just never been able to stick around as a big league starter. He's just a hard throwing righty with crappy K/BB ratios and piss-poor numbers against left-handed hitters who had some Mazzone Magic a couple years back in Atlanta.

Has some pop in his bat, though.

Yeah I meant a AAA pitcher not a rook.

Come to think of it, I never realized just how bad Sosa has been against lefties.

LHB are .291/.382/.500 off him for his career. 160 walks to 146 Ks. Surprised he hasn't be glued to the bullpen by now.

DIdn't he suck for the Mets last year, blowing a game against Washington?

We picked him up this offseason, so nope.

He did suck for the Braves and Cardinals though. Admirable.

Willets, maybe you're thinking of when Sosa did poorly against the Mets:

IIRC, Delgado has great career numbers against Sosa. He homered in that game.

Something I Learned Today (Black and white is always gray):

Tony Clark career vs. Sosa: 7-for-8, 5 HR.

Two aboard in the first inning with one out. I hope Sosa settles a bit in after this inning

Sosa strikes out Tony Clark!

Those black Diamondbacks jerseys are ugly.

So was that pitch, but Green has it on the warning track.

GREEN!

Green takes the master of the ground ball deep.

Got a feeling we'll need more of that if we want Sosa to beat Webb.

Can't say enough good things about Green....his hitting at least anyway.

="Gwreck"]Willets, maybe you're thinking of when Sosa did poorly against the Mets:

Or I could be a dumbass who can't tell his Jorges apart. After searching through Ultimate Mets I realized the crappy pitcher I was thinking of was Jorge Julio.

Meet Scott Hairston

Webb made his bed; he can lie in it.

Webb must hate seeing the Mets.....

Edgy DC
May 05 2007 09:43 PM

Yeah, once again. He dug that hole when he walked the first two batters last inning. Nobody to blame but yourself if you can't throw a Carlos a strike.

Edgy DC
May 05 2007 09:58 PM

Bazooka Joe gives up two. Fortunately for his unblemished record, they're two of Sosa's.

And so, to bed.
