Carlos Delgado is currently hitting a robust .191 for the season. He has one home run, which is one more than David Wright, and is sporting an OPS of .532

I've never quite gotten the Interstate references. We'd all be happy if one of our players was hitting the Capital Beltway, for example. And closer to Shea, we'd be incredulous if a Mets batter hit the Van Wyck Expressway.

Triple digit highways are not true interstates, they are bypasses.

So there.

I think the idea is that the 1 prefix appears like the "I" prefix before the interstate name. So a guy hitting .195 was teased in the clubhouse as being on "I-95."

David Newhan, don't think you and your .182 are in the clear either.

<Claven>Actually, only three-digit routes that start with an even digit are loops. The ones that start with an odd digit are spur routes.</Claven>

That too.

Of course .1684 is unusual precision in describing a batting average.
