Come on, be completely honest

ira's thoughts in the Pelfrey thread got me thinking. What would a world be like where managers/GM's/players were completely honest...

"I guess it's cool and all. But personally I wish he'd suck so I could get my spot back."
-Mike Pelfrey on Jorge Sosa's recent success

"What the fuck is Beltran doing? Andruw would have caught that ball."
-Tom Glavine

"I can't believe I shaved my head. Look at my fucking ears."
-Shawn Green

"Every day, I come to the ballpark hoping LoDuca gets hurt."
-Ramon Castro

"He's been ok I guess. But when we ponied up $100 million we were expecting an ERA under 4."
-Theo Epstein

"$28 million for a part-time job! What a country!"
-Asshead

"Wow, Alex has nice arms. I wonder if he's been working out. Man I love the way he smells..."
-Derek Jeter

This move doesn't make any sense in this spot, Michael. Now if I were the manager...- Joe Girradi

"It's just that they may not have some of the necessities to be, let's say, a field manager, or, perhaps, a general manager."

This crosses the line.

Well, here's one manager who said what all the other players and managers probably thought at one time or another:

]"Why certainly I'd like to have that fellow who hits a home run every time at bat, who strikes out every opposing batter when he's pitching, who throws strikes to any base or the plate when he's playing outfield and who's always thinking about two innings ahead just what he'll do to baffle the other team. Any manager would want a guy like that playing for him. The only trouble is to get him to put down his cup of beer and come down out of the stands and do those things." - Danny Murtaugh, manager

Nice find on the Murtaugh quote.
